Resources for Internship and Research Opportunities

Industry Internships & Research Opportunities

Last updated:

All internships are paid. These are primarily part time school year internships; as the year goes on, summer internships will also be posted. Keep in mind that a comprehensive list of summer internships at private companies in the USA already exists. Industry jobs are off-campus and will require transportation of some sort (usually a car, bike, bus).

Academic Research Internships

These are paid, summer internships hosted by The National Science Foundation (NSF) at various universities around the country. All include some amount of aid for travel, housing, and/or food in addition to pay for the summer.

NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Info:

Search for an REU Site (by research area, keywords, and/or state):

REUs are great because you can
- often participate in one as early as the summer after your freshman year
- work with and get career advice from post docs, PhD candidates, and professors
- go to another state and/or college (typically with travel reimbursement)

Note: Benefits and Eligibility vary between each REU site
