ExpectationsHow long does the program last?
If you’re interested, the Mentorship Program covers the time period between November and June. What are the commitments? Mentees are required to meet with their assigned mentor at least once per quarter (every three months). Additionally, throughout the year, there will be 3 ISPE organized events requiring attendance by both the mentor and mentee, one of which will be the opening ceremony. We also ask that mentees communicate with mentors (such as through emails) to ask any questions you may have about the industry. What else can I do with my mentor? Previous mentors have offered to meet with mentee outside of the required settings, such as coffee or lunch near UCSD or at the mentor's workplace. Additionally, you can ask your mentor if you can be invited their presentations, committee meetings, shadowing, lab tours, office tours, and more. We want to remind you to take the most advantage out of our program and request for these additional opportunities, as they will be the most helpful to you. Thank you for your interest! |
