Project Team

Project Topic Information
Downtown Telemedicine Team

Expectations

45,000 people die a year due to lack of insurance before the pandemic. This number has drastically increased over last year with the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, those that are uninsured and are of working-age have a 40% higher risk of death than those that have insurance. Meanwhile, doctors have many ways to prevent death from hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease but only if patients can get into offices and afford the medication.

Because of this finding, our project team will set up a booth in downtown San Diego to provide uninsured or low-income individuals telemedicine services at no charge to the individual.

Many logistic details remain to be discussed and determined. That's why we need your help! We appreciate you starting this application to join our team and we'd love to learn more about you. Below are some questions to start this process. Look forward to potentially having you on our team!
